Tandem was developed together with Likron. Tandem combines algorithmic trading with optimising asset management and provides 24/7 access to the EPEX power exchange. The implementation was successfully completed in February 2018. Tandem is now in daily use at SBB.
Valgrid has been relying on Misurio’s voltage stability tool for network level 1 VoltageControl since 2014. The controller optimises the withdrawal and supply of reactive power at certain network nodes. Valgrid receives compensation for the reactive power provided.
The current V-Zug area will be converted into a technology cluster with a gross floor area of approximately 300,000 m2. Misurio has created a simulation model for total energy optimisation. The scenario calculations provide decision support for the design and operation of the multi-energy hub.
In order to optimise FMV hydroelectric power plants, an adaptive reservoir control system was implemented for the Ernen and Rhone power plants. Optimisation is fully automated and connected to the control system and energy data management system. With the optimisation FMV can better adhere to the power production schedules and save on costs for balancing energy.
Heat pumps can be operated flexibly using the thermal storage capacity of building mass and hot water storage tanks as buffers. With the project WarmUp, which is supported by the SFOE, ewz makes a contribution to a sustainable energy system in several respects. The efficient heat generation with heat pumps is combined with their flexible control, which supports the grid integration of renewable energies. In total, in four areas in Zürich, 15 buildings with 9 large heat pumps and 22 hot water storage tanks were integrated.
